	*Carol's Thoughts*
	My botanical drawing has given me an increased affection and respect for plants. When immersed in a painting, it occupies much of my thought process. I work slowly to take the piece to completion. Painting has a path of its own wherein I leave much of my ordinary life behind to follow my present project. I have been painting for about fourteen years and thoroughly enjoy each plant that I elect to paint. The only negative aspect of my work is that the number of plants I want to paint far outnumbers the time I have to complete the work.
